Police have confirmed the identity of a body found at sea. The body of an unidentified man was found in Littlehampton last Thursday evening (April 24). Sussex Police have now confirmed the identity as missing man, Nathan Limbachia.
Nathan was reported missing on Friday April 11, having not been seen or heard from since the evening of Tuesday, April 8. On that evening, he was last seen leaving a train at Littlehampton Railway Station and walking to nearby East Street. His family had previously been informed by police of the discovery of the body, before it was formally identified.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are sorry to confirm that the body of a man found in the sea at Littlehampton on Thursday (24 April) has been confirmed as 33-year-old Nathan Limbachia. “Our thoughts are with Nathan’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.” Police are treating Nathan’s death as unexplained but not suspicious.
Officers will continue enquiries on behalf of the coroner..
