Poole-based startup named as finalist in UK awards

Poole-based Future Force, which provides apprenticeship management services, is in the running for the business-to-business services startup of the year award in south west England. The UK StartUp Awards were launched to recognise the UK's growing startup scene, which saw 846,000 new businesses founded in 2024. More than 750 businesses have been shortlisted for this year's awards.

These firms, all started in the past three years, have created more than 4,600 jobs and generate annual sales of £200 million. Future Force, founded by Amy Miles and Grace Benham, helps businesses recruit, develop and retain apprentices. Amy Miles, co-founder of Future Force, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for the UK StartUp Awards.



"Future Force was created to bridge the gap between emerging talent and businesses desperate for skilled people. "To have our vision recognised on such a prestigious platform is incredible. "We're excited about the future and honoured to be among so many inspiring start-ups.

" The winners from each region will be invited to the first UK final taking place at Ideas Fest, the business festival in Hertfordshire, on Friday, September 12. The UK StartUp Awards are now in their fourth year after launching in 2022..
