Portland forecast predicts sunny days with temperatures reaching mid-70s, and a chance of showers by the weekend.

Portland residents can bask in an array of pleasant temperatures and mostly clear skies over the next several days, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS). The city woke to partly cloudy conditions this morning with a crisp 42°F, setting the stage for a bright day with an expected high of 69°F. Those looking to enjoy the outdoors can expect calm winds, which will shift north at around five mph in the afternoon.

As the sun sets, clear conditions are expected to persist, with tonight's low forecasted at a comfortable 46°F. Light north-northwest winds will complement the evening atmosphere. The National Weather Service predicts Thursday to be even warmer, with sunny skies and a high of 82°F.

The wind remains subdued, calm at first before picking up slightly to the northeast at five mph in the afternoon. However, as Friday approaches, there is a slight shift. A 20 percent chance of showers is expected to creep in after 11 am.

The probability of rain increases significantly by Friday night, with showers likely and a 70% chance of precipitation. Despite this, daytime temperatures will still reach a high of around 73°F with clouds gathering in the latter part of the day. Going into the weekend, Saturday has a 30% chance of morning showers, followed by partly cloudy skies and a high of 64°F.

For the remainder of the weekend and into early next week, Portlanders can expect more consistently dry and sunny weather. The NWS anticipates mostly clear nights and sunny days, with highs gradually climbing back up to the mid-70s. Sunday night's low will hover around 43°F, followed by a high of 68°F on Sunday.

The outlook for Monday and Tuesday is similarly optimistic, with mostly sunny days expected to reach highs of 73°F and 74°F, respectively..
