When you live in an area, you’ll probably hear about the ‘poshest’ places and where they are. Some parts of Bolton are considered to be posher areas to live in than the rest. We asked Bolton News readers to tell us which places they think are the poshest in the town.

In fact, one place took the top spot with more than 10 votes from our readers.
According to our readers, the poshest place to live in Bolton is Lostock. Bromley Cross came in at second place followed by Egerton and Harwood in joint third place. Other places such as Markland Hill and Westhoughton were also voted for by our readers but received fewer votes.
One local suggested a few areas, writing: "Lots of nice places in Bolton Heaton , sharples. Bromley cross." Someone else commented: "Chorley New has the biggest houses.
"Nicest areas have to be brom x and egerton." Another said: "Harwood, use to live there, Bromley cross." This person suggested: "Lostock, Markland hill, Bromley cross.

Bromley Cross came in at second and in joint third place were Chew Moor and Heaton. Other places such as Barrow Bridge, Rivington, Harwood and Bradshaw were also voted for by our readers but received fewer votes along with other areas in the town.
