Prayagraj: On the lines of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the admit card for students appearing in annual and semester examinations of Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University (PRSU) will now have a QR code. The admit card will be scanned while entering the examination centres , thereby checking cases of impersonation, as only genuine candidates, identified through the QR scanned details, will be allowed to enter examination centre. Moreover, the university has introduced some additional confidential features to prevent the creation of fake admit cards.

The annual and semester examinations of the state university are likely to start on May 1. About 5.25 lakh students enrolled in 703 colleges in different courses are registered to appear in the examination.

The examination will conclude on May 29. This decision was made in the examination committee meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Singh last week.

According to the Vice Chancellor, "For complete transparency in the examination, e-identity cards for the centre administrator, room inspector, and employees on duty at the examination centre have been made mandatory. There will be a QR code in the e-identity card as well." Room invigilators and supporting staff will be able to obtain the identity card online from state university, he added.

This time, preparations are underway to conduct the examination at about 125 centres in the division, comprising Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, and Fatehpur. Students from 703 colleges in the division affiliated with the university are registered for different courses. Vice Chancellor further stated that this time the semester and annual examinations for professional (vocational course) and postgraduate (PG) courses will not be conducted in unaided colleges.
