'Pupils are happy at this welcoming school' praise for one of Bolton's top schools

An independent all-girls high school in Bolton has received a gleaming rating following its most recent Ofsted inspection.

One of the best-performing schools in Bolton is celebrating after a inspection which found it was good with outstanding features. Bolton Muslim Girls Schoo l was inspected by Ofsted recently, which found 'pupils are happy at this very welcoming school' Bolton Muslim Girls School has received a top grade following its Ofsted inspection in March. (Image: Martini Archive) Lead inspector Kevin Sexton and his colleagues found that the school had significantly improved across all areas since its previous graded inspection in 2022.

Their report said: “ The school wants pupils to succeed . It has high expectations for all pupils’ achievement, which are realised. “Pupils value the recent improvements that the school has made to the quality of education that they receive.



“ Pupils value their education. This is reflected in their very high rates of attendance. Pupils become independent and thoughtful learners.

“They want to gain a full understanding of the curriculum. Pupils achieve highly in many subjects.” The school enrichment curriculum was placed and said to enhance their academic learning.

Th Bolton Muslim Girls school teaches over 750 pupils between the ages of 11 and 16 and is part of The Prosper Multi-Academy Trust. It was also named as one of Bolton’s top performing schools after an incredible GCSE performance from students last year. It was graded ‘outstanding’ for the fourth category, which was behaviour and attitudes. The inspectors described pupils as ‘behaving with maturity and confidence, their learning is not disrupted by poor behaviour.’ The school received an 'outstanding' grade for behaviours and attitudes.

(Image: Martini Archive) The inspector’s report also found that: “Pupils’ personal development is at the centre of the school. It helps pupils grow and thrive. Staff help pupils learn about health, well-being and positive relationships in a way that is appropriate for their age.

“The school wants to help pupils to become active citizens who can flourish in modern life, for example through community projects and faith-based events. “The trust understands the key priorities for the school. It supports and challenges the school in every part of its work .

The school values staff’s well-being. It also considers workload when making changes.” “The school commits to raising pupils’ aspirations and achieving success.

Pupils are knowledgeable about future education and training opportunities. They have access to a wide range of impartial careers advice and guidance. “This allows them to make informed choices about their futures.

Headteacher Idrish Patel congratulated pupils and colleagues on the result. “I am delighted with the outcome of the inspection. “This excellent inspection outcome is further evidence of the quality of secondary education available at Bolton Muslim Girls’ School.

“This excellent report is thanks to the pupils, staff, governors, PMAT Trustees and Foundation Trustees. “The whole school community is very proud of what together we have achieved. “The Ofsted recognises the tremendous progress we have all made since the last inspection.
