After almost eight years of Raid, the makers of Ajay Devgn's film are ready with the next instalment. Raid 2 starring Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor and others will release on May 1. Here's its day 1 box office prediction.

The next big offering from Bollywood is Ajay Devgn's film Raid 2. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the movie also stars Vaani Kapoor as the leading lady, while Riteish Deshmukh plays the villain in this crime thriller. Ajay Devgn returns in his iconic role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, who is set to crack a mysterious crime case.

Tamannaah Bhatia will make a special appearance in a dance number. As the film is set to hit theatres on May 1, advance ticket sales are now open. Take a look at the predictions for Raid 2's Day 1 box office collections.

As reported by Sacnilk.com, Ajay Devan's upcoming film Raid 2 has so far earned around Rs 5.02 crore in advance bookings, including blocked seats.

Excluding the blocked seats, the gross collection currently stands at Rs 2.94 crore. The film has sold approximately 1,10,592 tickets.

Advance ticket sales began on April 27, with Ajay Devgn announcing via social media. Since May 1 is a partial holiday, the film is expected to have a strong opening at the box office. Raid 2's Day 1 collection is projected to enter double digits, with estimates ranging between Rs 10 to Rs 11 crore.

While the numbers look good as compared to the recent film releases, Raid 2 may find it difficult to enter the top five highest opening day grossers of Ajay Devgn. The highest numbers were clocked in by Singham Again. The film also had the star power of Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan and others made around Rs 43.

70 crore on day 1. The second on the list is Golmaal Again, as reported by Bollywood Hungama. The comedy drama made around Rs 30.

14 crore. The third movie on the list is Singham Returns, as it made around Rs 32 crore on its first day. Total Dhamaal, which released in 2019, made around Rs 16.

50 crore on its first day at the box office. Drishyam 2, released in 2022, made around Rs 15.38 crore on its opening day at the box office.

If the turnout for Raid 2 is good, it has the potential to beat the numbers of Drishyam 2 and Total Dhamaal. The first instalment of the franchise had received positive reviews from the audience. Thus, the buzz is high for Raid 2.

However, expectations are high too. Bring it on!.
