The firm also owns 217km of fibre optic duct infrastructure, 649km of fibre optic cable link communication network, 33 monopoles, and three lattice towers. Its integrated satellite and fibre optic networks deliver reliable and configurable connectivity for its customers.Leo ChinWith the expanded capital from its listing, chief executive officer Leo Chin told The Borneo Post that Reach Ten is looking to grow further via a two-pronged approach.

“If you examine our deployment strategy, 60 per cent of the proceeds are allocated to fibre infrastructure in Kuching, Sibu, Miri, and Bintulu,” he said in an exclusive interview recently.“Satellite is our cash cow as it requires relatively low capital investment while generating steady revenue. Fibre, on the other hand, is our rising star.

“While fibre may not yet surpass satellite in revenue generation, it represents the future of connectivity,” he said.Chin explained that the company’s strategy is to maintain market share in satellite services — where it is already among the top two providers in Malaysia — and to continue investing in fibre.Over the last three years, Chin said the company has made significant investments in satellite infrastructure, including telephones, antennas, and via its partnership with Starlink.

“Reach Ten is well-positioned to scale up satellite services with minimal additional investment. However, we cannot rest on our laurels. We must invest in the future, focusing on fibre expansion within Sarawak.

“We already have fibre in Kuching and plan to replicate this model in Sibu and Miri. This approach is prudent and risk-averse.“While we are exploring growth opportunities beyond Borneo, our immediate focus remains on strengthening our presence in Sarawak and Sabah.

”Over the past few months of engaging with analysts and fund managers, Chin said they affirmed the key point that Reach Ten is truly a technology-agnostic company.“This means we adopt the latest technologies that align with our customers purposes and requirements. This approach has enabled us to consistently grow and earn the trust of our customers.

“For instance, our customers have experienced significant advancements in connectivity, transitioning from C-band to KU-band, KA-band, and now Starlink.“These technologies represent milestones in satellite communication, and we’ve grown alongside our customers, ensuring their connectivity needs are met with cutting-edge solutions,” he added. The post Reach Ten focused on two-pronged strategy for expansion in Sarawak, Sabah appeared first on Borneo Post Online.
