Reader's View: Putin would understand a punch in the nose

The best way to get Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate is to punch him in the nose. The U.S.

government should immediately give Ukraine 10 cruise missiles and “volunteers” to program targets in Russia. The targets should be power plants in and around Moscow. As soon as Russia attacks Ukraine again, the volunteers send off five of the cruise missiles to knock out the power around Moscow.



If Putin retaliates, send the next five missiles and knock out more power plants. This would make the Russian people suffer a bit, like Putin has done to the Ukrainians. ADVERTISEMENT When the Russian people have skin in the game, there will be pressure put on Putin.
