A royal fan has celebrated her 105th birthday with a special card from the King. Eileen Blaker, known as Dannie, has lived in Worthing all her life, and worked at the Art Deco Plaza Cinema, as well as a post office in the town before her retirement. To celebrate her major milestone, Dannie was presented with a birthday card from King Charles III, a homemade cake, and "several thoughtful gifts".
People gathered to celebrate Dannie at The Right at Home Worthing and Shoreham site in Shoreham, which provides live-in care support for Dannie. Her family, especially her nieces and nephews, are regular visitors, and Dannie also enjoys visits from Right at Home's managing director Anton Van Baalen, who brings her flowers, chocolates, and stories from his travels. The company said that these visits "mean the world to Dannie" and "reflect the close-knit relationships she has built over the years".
