Thirty-one-year-old Danny Sharkey appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and also pleaded guilty to a charge of struggling violently with the officer. The offences – committed while he was on bail – happened in Mayfield Drive and Dickson Street in Hawick earlier this month. A not guilty plea to being in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a brick, was accepted by the Crown.
Sentence was deferred on Sharkey, of Bright Street, until May 8 for the production of a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment..
