Prezzo Brighton Marina launches a Creme Egg Calzone for Easter.

A restaurant chain has launched a Creme Egg calzone. Prezzo, which has a branch in Brighton Marina, has introduced the dessert as part of its Easter menu. The calzone combines the chocolate egg with the Italian folded pizza.

It costs £5, but customers can get it for free on Easter Sunday if they bring their own Creme Egg. Chad Crooks, Prezzo's food director, said: "The Creme Egg Calzone is set to be the ultimate Easter indulgence this year. "We know how much everyone loves Creme Eggs, and by combining them with the comforting, satisfying flavours of our calzone, we’re creating something truly special that will make Easter celebrations even sweeter.

"And on Sunday, April 20, if the Easter Bunny has left you some extra Creme Eggs to enjoy, bring them down and we’ll calzone them up for you. "No charge." The restaurant chain has also introduced a new pasta dish to its menu.

The pasta alla vodka costs from £16.95 and consists of rigatoni in a spicy tomato and vodka sauce. Mr Crooks said: "We are very excited about our Easter menu this year, not only do we have our Creme Egg Calzone, but we’ve got creative with a classic dish, pasta alla vodka.

"The vodka and chilli give the meal a wonderful kick." The new Easter set menu offers two courses starting from £20, and three courses from £25. There are also two-for-one cocktails after 8pm.

The Creme Egg calzone is only available for free if customers pre-book their table in advance and order a main from the set menu or a la carte menu..
