Richa Chadha Consciously Took Break After Daughter Zuneyra's Birth; Here's Why

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal embraced parenthood in 2024. The Bollywood couple was blessed with their first child, a baby girl, on July 16, 2024. After giving birth to Zuneyra Ida Fazal, Richa took some time off work.

In a new interview, the actress revealed why she consciously decided to take a break. The actress admitted that she isn't old school in any manner. However, she needed time off to take care of her baby girl.



Richa Chadha on taking professional break after motherhood Speaking to Hindustan Times, Richa shared whether she changed after embracing motherhood. The actress said, "I don't think that I’ve changed much because I'm a mom, and even if I have, it has been for the better." She further admitted to consciously taking maternity break.

"I very consciously chose to take this break, not because I am an old school in that way, but because as mammals, the role of the mother in the first few months is very critical for the baby," shared Richa. And now that her daughter Zuneyra is 8-month-old, the actress has actively started looking for work. Until now, she was only focusing on her and Ali's production house that could help their company grow.

' Richa on production house with husband Ali Continuing the conversation, Richa spoke highly about running a production house with her husband Ali. She mentioned that they always had professional gelling, else they wouldn't have started a company together. "We have similar interests in culture and art, and it's not very for me to bounce off ideas with Ali," she added.

On the work front, Richa was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Co-starring Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, and others, the show premiered on Netflix last year. Recently, she backed a film called Girls Will Be Girls, which streamed on Amazon Prime Video Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from Bollywood, Entertainment News and around the world.
