AN amazing end of season run has made sure Wrexham have preserved their Division One North status. Wrexham are safe following their 27-19 success at home to COBRA, their fourth win on the spin. Jacob Hughes’ first minute try made sure the hosts enjoyed the ideal opening, before Lloyd Roberts (pictured) claimed a 35th minute score to stretch the advantage.

However, two quickfire COBRA tries meant it was the away side who had a 12-10 lead at the interval. Jack Tomlinson’s try soon regained the lead for Wrexham and this was converted by Hughes. COBRA nudged back in front with a converted try on the hour, but Wrexham turned things around with Roberts’ second try confirming a bonus point.
