Rogers adds Canada/U.S. roaming to 175GB plans

It’s been about 10 days since Rogers bumped up the prices of its plans , and now the company has made a small adjustment to bring Canada/U.S. roaming to some offers.

Rogers’ $75/175GB 5G plan now features Canada/U.S. data, talk, and text.



That means when you go south of the border, you can use your phone just like at home. This also applies to the $85/mo version of the plan for people who want to finance a device. However, Rogers hasn’t made any other changes to the 175GB plan.

It still offers data speeds up to 1Gbps and throttled speeds up to 512Kbps once customers use up the data allotment. It also still features unlimited international texting sent from Canada and 1,000 international minutes. The change makes the plan a better middle ground between the $65/100GB Canada-only and $95/250GB Canada/U.

S./Mexico options. It also brings Rogers closer to Telus’ $75 Canada/U.

S. plan , though at the time of writing, Rogers still had more data on its plan. This is some nice added value, but I still think there are better options out there for most people.

Assuming you don’t need more than 100GB of data, Freedom Mobile and Public Mobile have multiple plans for $55/mo or less with Canada/U.S./Mexico roaming and 5G.
