VACAVILLE — The Rowland Freedom Center has hired a new chief executive officer.

VACAVILLE — The Rowland Freedom Center has hired a new chief executive officer. Bob Hampton, founder of Elise P. Buckingham Charter School and co-founder of Kairos Public Schools, serves at the honorary commander at Travis Air Force Base.

"Hampton brings to the Rowland Freedom Center a distinguished record as an executive leader, entrepreneur and educator in California. With decades of experience in nonprofit, educational and business sectors, Mr. Hampton’s leadership is set to propel the center’s mission to new heights," the aviation and military museum at the Nut Tree Airport stated.



Hampton's experience also include being president and chief executive officer of of CharterSearch LLC, founder of Guajome Learning Centers and superintendent and chief executive officer of Guajome Schools, director of Instruction and Student Services at Tamalpais Union High School, coordinator of Special Projects, high school principal, and teacher at Vacaville Unified School District and he is the recipient of the U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon award.
