So to celebrate the milestone, Prince William and Kate Middleton have shared a new picture of their third child. The sweet snap was taken by Josh Shinner in the beautiful British woodlands.
There are bluebells on the forest floor, which suggests the image was taken very recently. And after it was uploaded by the official X account of the Prince and Princess of Wales, members of the British public were quick to celebrate with the young royal. They also made the same observation – that the seven-year-old is looking very grown up.
People couldn't believe how quickly time has flown – with many remembering the day of his birth being broadcast across the world. In response to the adorable portrait, one commenter wrote: "Happy Birthday Prince Louis. You’ve grown so quickly.
We hope you have the best day." Another said: "Gosh, Louis has grown. Lovely picture.
" A third wrote: "Wow! 7 already!? Time flies. Happy Birthday Prince Louis!! Hope you have wonderful birthday!" A fourth commented: "Aww what a beautiful picture!!! His adorable toothless smile. He isn’t a little baby anymore! Happy birthday Prince Louis.
" And a fifth added: "Happy Birthday Prince Louis! What a beautiful picture, looking so grown up!" The British public isn't used to seeing Prince Louis looking so mature – especially as his cheeky antics are usually what captures everyone's attention. His memorable moments include being very expressive during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Parade in 2022 – and he famously stole the spotlight by putting his hands over his ears during Trooping of the Colour. Amusingly, he was also caught yawning through the King's coronation.
Then during the Jubilee pageant, Prince Louis continued to steal the spotlight. At one point, seemingly bored, he sank down into his seat and covered his face, and was later photographed intently reading the programme. However, times seem to be changing as Prince Louis gets older.
