The event was held at the Banquet Hall of Menara Kinabalu on Saturday.Director of Media and Communications in the Chief Minister’s Department, Datuk Lucy Irene Yong, said the Hari Raya celebration was specially hosted by the Chief Minister to honour members of the media.She emphasised that both Hajiji and the State Government deeply value the role of the media and appreciate their ongoing support and collaboration in reporting on government initiatives and programmes.

“This year’s celebration is notably different from previous years, as it is being held at Menara Kinabalu, which features a beautiful banquet hall,” she added.Also in attendance were Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Ruslan Muharam; State Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Datuk Joniston Bangkuai; State Director of Information, Jainisah Mohd Noor; Sabah State Director of Broadcasting, Mohd Yusni Mohamed Ali; SJA President, Mariah Doksil; President of the Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA), Jimmy Goh; along with chief editors, bureau chiefs, and representatives from various newspapers and online news portals.The post Sabah State Government increases contribution to Kinabalu Press Awards appeared first on Borneo Post Online.
