Hajiji with members of the media during the Chief Minister’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering with media representatives.KOTA KINABALU (April 20): The Sabah State Government has contributed RM110,000 to this year’s Kinabalu Press Awards, an increase from RM100,000 allocated last year.Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor presented the contribution to the Sabah Journalists Association (SJA), the organiser of the awards, during the Chief Minister’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering with media representatives.
The event was held at the Banquet Hall of Menara Kinabalu on Saturday.Director of Media and Communications in the Chief Minister’s Department, Datuk Lucy Irene Yong, said the Hari Raya celebration was specially hosted by the Chief Minister to honour members of the media.She emphasised that both Hajiji and the State Government deeply value the role of the media and appreciate their ongoing support and collaboration in reporting on government initiatives and programmes.
