Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 And Z Flip 7 Tipped To Feature Thinner Design This Year

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch is still a few months away but all the rumours and design leaks hint at a new-look device this year. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 launch might not be far away. And according to new reports, the highly anticipated foldable devices could be announced as early as July like its predecessor.

And the same report also hints at significant design and specification upgrades for both book-style and clamshell foldable devices. The New Fold Finally? The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is being tipped to be considerably thinner than its predecessor, which many people have demanded from the brand. The report says the Z Fold 7 is rumoured to measure just 8.



2mm in thickness when folded, which is a notable reduction from the 12.1mm profile of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. That’s not all, the Fold 7 is expected to feature a different aspect ratio than the existing model and may sport a larger 8-inch (diagonal) internal display.

Meanwhile, the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 7 could see some upgrades, including a new design profile. Under the hood, both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are tipped to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to pack a larger 4,300 mAh battery.

While the flip phone could feature a 4-inch display compared to the current model’s 3.4-inch outer screen. For imaging, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to retain a capable dual-camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is likely to pack a new system with a high-resolution 200MP primary sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. For selfies and video calls, the Z Fold 7 is also expected to feature a 12MP front-facing camera. The report also indicates the Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch price is likely to be EUR 100 (Rs 9,700 approx) more than the 2024 Fold and Flip models in the market.
