Santander achieves record profit of 3.402 billion in the first quarter of the year

In the first quarter of 2025, Banco Santander achieved a record profit of €3.402 billion, representing a 19% increase over the same period last year. Santander fully recovered the €335 million temporary tax on income earned in Spain in the first quarter of 2024. Santander has been successful in customer acquisition, raising another €9 million to add to Banco Santander's total of €175 million.
