Q. What accomplishments are you most proud of and why?A. One of my proudest accomplishments is receiving the highest average awards in 12 of my classes from freshman to junior year.

Among these were Biology; Physical Science; Psychology; Algebra; Geometry; English I and III; Theology I, II, and III; World Cultures; and 20th Century History. These awards mean so much to me because they represent the dedication, hard work, and perseverance I’ve put into my academic journey. I’m also incredibly proud to have been a member of the Immaculate Heart Society each year, completing triple the required community service hours.

Volunteering in community service holds a special place in my heart, as helping others has always been one of my top priorities and something I hope to continue throughout my life.Erica BoyleQ. What were your most rewarding school or community activities?A.

One of the most rewarding school experiences I’ve had was representing Marian Catholic at the Penn State Schuylkill Leadership Conference. It was an incredible opportunity to collaborate with students from many different schools and explore both our similarities and differences. Throughout the day, I took part in a variety of meaningful activities that emphasized important lessons—like the value of embracing diversity and treating others with fairness and respect.

The most rewarding community activity I had the privilege to be part of was through the CAN DO Student Action Committee. As a member of this incredible group, I had the opportunity to take on a leadership role in Operation CAN DO. By working with local schools and businesses, we collected essential items for troops stationed overseas and donated them to the American Legion in Freeland.

It was a meaningful experience that allowed me to give back to those who serve our country.Q. Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?A.

One of my favorite hobbies is playing volleyball, a sport I’ve enjoyed throughout all four years of high school. It’s helped me stay active, build strong friendships, and grow both mentally and physically. Outside of volleyball, I enjoy going to the gym and taking bike rides to clear my mind and stay healthy.

I’m always up for an adventure — whether it’s exploring new places, trying out unique restaurants, or discovering hidden gems to shop and hang out. In my free time, I love watching movies, shopping, and spending quality time with my family and friends.Erica Boyle plays on the Marian Catholic volleyball team.

Q. What are your plans after high school graduation? Why did you choose this path?A. After graduating from high school, I plan to attend The University of Scranton to major in Biology on a pre-med track.

I chose this path because of my deep interest in the medical field and my passion for helping others. I’ve always been drawn to the idea of making a difference in people’s lives, and pursuing a career in medicine allows me to do just that. This journey aligns perfectly with the qualities I value most in myself—determination, compassion, and a strong work ethic.

My ultimate goal is to attend medical school and become a doctor, where I can continue to grow, serve others, and be a positive force in my community and beyond.Q. What do you see yourself doing and where do you see yourself living in 15 years?A.

In 15 years, I see myself having completed all of my medical training and fully involved in a fulfilling career in the medical field. I will be working in the community I care about, giving back and making a meaningful impact through my work. By then, I will have achieved the dreams and goals I’ve spent years striving toward driven by hard work, determination, and passion.

I’ll finally be making the difference I’ve always believed I could make in the world.Q. Whom do you most admire and why?A.

I admire my parents more than anyone because of everything they have done for me throughout my life. Their constant love, guidance, and support have shaped me into the person I am today. Without their encouragement and sacrifices, I wouldn’t have achieved all that I have.

I am especially grateful for the values they’ve instilled in me like kindness, hard work, and integrity. They are the best role models I could ever ask for, consistently showing me what it means to be strong, selfless, and compassionate. I strive every day to be more like them and the way they lead with their heart, work hard, and make a positive impact on others.

I truly can’t thank them enough for the countless lessons they’ve taught me and the strong foundation they’ve given me to build my future on.Q. In a sentence, what is your philosophy of life?A.
