SDIG Karawita leads committee studying PCoI report on Easter Sunday carnage

Police Headquarters yesterday announced the appointment of a four-member committee to study the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) report on the Easter Sunday carnage (2019). The committee will be headed by Senior DIG in charge of the CID Asanka Karawita. Police spokesman SSP Buddhika Manatunga said that in addition to the main committee several sub-committees had been appointed to facilitate the study.

Police headquarters made the announcement in the wake of the government making available the report to the CID. By Chaminda Silva.
