Sebastian Stan, who is set to star in ' Thunderbolts* ' which releases on May 2, will reprise his role of Bucky Barnes in ' Avengers: Doomsday '. And well, he is very excited about it. During the premiere of his upcoming film, Sebastian opened up about his excitement to work with Robert Downey Jr.
, who plays Doctor Doom in Doomsday. He said, "I just think he's one of our greatest actors, you know, that we have right now. Just watching him kind of consistently reinvent himself and then reinvent, you know, these characters and this new take and what he's gonna do here, it's gonna be quite interesting, so yeah, it'll be fun.

Anthony Mackie will be returning as Captain America. At the recent event, Stan shared the messages he received from Mackie once it was confirmed both would be appearing in Doomsday. According to Sebastian, Mackie was asking questions about where he'd be staying during the shooting of Doomsday.
The actor shared, "I got a text that went, 'What's up player?' and I was like, 'Not much. How are you?' And he was like, 'When you come in, where are you staying at? And I was like, 'I don't know yet, Anthony. I don't have my place yet,' and he responded, saying, 'Don't be like that.
'" A post shared by Sebastian Stan (@imsebastianstan) ' Avengers: Doomsday ' also stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Pedro Pascal, who is set to play Reed Richards in July's ' Fantastic Four: First Steps ', Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch are also a part of the film. ' Avengers: Doomsday ' will be released in 2026, followed by ' Avengers: Secret Wars ' in 2027.
