See the industrial relics which powered Bolton's cotton industry next week

A museum in Bolton will showcase the industrial relics which powered the town's industry next week. Bolton Steam Museum is holding its May Day Steamings on Sunday, May 4, and Monday, May 5. The stationary steam engines which powered Bolton's cotton-spinning industry will be running.

Volunteers only run them for the public a few times a year. Their oldest engine is now more than 180 years old, with most being well over a century old.
