South Carolina Gamecocks head football coach Shane Beamer was quick to speak out about safety Nick Emmanwori being drafted by the Seattle Seahawks.Emmanwori went quickly in round 2 of the NFL draft, and was the 35th pick overall. Beamer was proud of his player's success.
He quickly posted a short message on X to Emmanwori, tagging him and writing: "Congrats @Eman7Nick!!!!! 🤙"His post also re-shared a congratulatory message from the Gamecock Football account that included a video about Emmanwori. © Jeff Blake-Imagn Images Beamer also proudly retweeted other messages about Emmanwori, including a post from Bruce Feldman of the Athletic that read, "Love the pick by the Seahawks getting So Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori, biggest Freak athlete in the draft. Emmanwori is a five-tool safety. He can play in all facets of the field. He can play in the box, can play in the slot, can play in the deep part of the field, can blitz.

'"Emmanwori began as a back-up safety at South Carolina, but quickly earned his starting spot after stepping in after an injury. In three seasons, he had 244 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and six interceptions. This marks the eighth consecutive season that at least one person from the Gamecocks has been drafted, Rivals reported.
