It's Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft and Shedeur Sanders is STILL available. The Colorado quarterback didn't hear his name called on Friday night in Rounds 2 or 3 of the draft -- although he did get one ruthless prank call -- with other QBs taken ahead of him. And yet he is still one of the best players available heading into the final day of the draft.
GRADES FOR EVERY DAY 2 PICK: Our takes on Rounds 2 and 3 of the draft So someone's got to take him soon, right? Let's break down the five teams who should absolutely pick him given how far he's dropped: 1. Las Vegas Raiders They've got Geno Smith, but the Raiders have long been a possible spot for Sanders as their QB of the future. At this point, it would be a terrific steal for the franchise.
2. Los Angeles Rams I like the idea of pairing him with Sean McVay, and the Rams need an heir apparent to Matthew Stafford. So maybe Sanders lands here.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers Is Aaron Rodgers signing? Is he not and retiring? Are they really going into next season with Mason Rudolph under center? I doubt it. Sanders could end up in Pittsburgh.
4. New York Jets They've had a stellar draft, and we know Justin Fields is the starter with Tyrod Taylor behind him. But why not take Sanders and left him develop? 5.
Jacksonville Jaguars Hmmm. What if there are some doubts in the building about Trevor Lawrence? You're inviting controversy here, but it might honestly be a good idea. This article originally appeared on For The Win: Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft landing spots: 5 teams that should take him.
