Shefali Shah is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated thriller series, Delhi Crime Season 3, set to premiere on Netflix later this year. Ahead of the official release date announcement, the actress attended the Rise and Roar event organised by FICCI FLO in Lucknow.

During an interaction at the event, Shefali reflected on her acting journey and expressed a heartfelt wish to shoot a film in the city, adding that it would give her the chance to truly “explore the city and experience its culture." Speaking at the event, the Three of Us actress said, “This was my first visit to Lucknow, and I was impressed by how clean and attractive the city is. The tagline ‘Muskuraiye ki aap Lucknow mein hain’ is extremely appropriate since the people here are so friendly and soft-spoken that you can’t help but smile when you meet them.

Incidentally, I haven’t had any films or series set here yet, but I would definitely like to come and shoot here, which would allow me to see the city and experience its culture," as quoted by Hindustan Times. Furthermore, the actress talked about her journey and personal life, saying that she was a privileged daughter because of her parents. “I was born and raised in Mumbai.

My mother is a doctor, and my father worked in a humble position with the Reserve Bank of India. I came from a humble background, but I am an extremely fortunate and privileged girl because of my parents," said Shefali. Shefali even revealed that during her early days, she never wanted to become an actress.

“I wanted to be an air hostess or a surgeon, but I didn’t enjoy studying. I am a trained dancer and used to sing, but acting was never on my mind. It happened unintentionally and organically.

I began doing inter-college and Gujarati theatre. I was making roughly Rs 200 per day, so why not make it a profession?" she added. Lastly, the Dil Dhadakne Do actress emphasised that self-defence for women is the most vital skill that anyone should learn.

On the work front, Shefali was last seen in the acclaimed film Three of Us, co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Swanand Kirkire. The actress went on to win the Filmfare Best Actress (Critics) award for her performance in the film. She will be next seen in Delhi Crime Season 3 along with Rajesh Tailang and Rasika Duggal.
