While former Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders has dominated the sports news cycle over the three days of the NFL draft, his brother and collegiate teammate Shilo Sanders has also found his way onto an NFL roster.Shilo Sanders, who played defensive back for the Buffaloes for the past two years, inked a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent following the conclusion of the draft on Saturday, April 26. twitter.com/fOkdB05ZWH— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) April 26, 2025Shilo Sanders is 25 years old and has four seasons of major college football experience on his resumé as well as two seasons at Jackson State. He played 13 games for South Carolina across two years (2019, 2020) as well as two years at Colorado (2023, 2024).

His time at Jackson State came in the interim. During his two years in Boulder, Shilo Sanders tallied 170 total tackles, including three tackles for loss. He also logged five pass breakups, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, one interception, one sack and two defensive touchdowns across his 21 games with the Buffaloes.

Sanders' draft profile plays up his experience and football smarts, though questions his athleticism at the NFL level. "Sanders’ experience is evident in the way he disguises his coverage pre-snap and diagnoses plays. His ability to anticipate routes allows him to sometimes beat receivers to their spot," The Draft Network wrote.

"One major concern is his overall athleticism. His movements are often stiff and jerky, lacking the fluidity typically desired in a defensive back. His top-end speed is a major question mark, and he struggles with quick, clean transitions -- often rounding off cuts instead of planting his foot and driving.

His footwork is inefficient, and he lacks the smoothness needed when backpedaling and transitioning out of breaks."Related: Mel Kiper Jr. Makes Heated NFL Announcement After Shedeur Sanders Pick.
