Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has praised Shadab Khan for his impressive leadership and performances in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10. In a discussion on a local digital sports platform, Akhtar highlighted Shadab’s skills as a bowler, saying, “I focus more on his bowling; his batting is not my concern.” Nonetheless, he recognized Shadab’s capability to step up with the bat when required, pointing out his significant contribution to the team as a whole.

Akhtar discussed the importance of a positive dressing room environment. He believes that players thrive when they receive support. “Players are shaped in dressing rooms,” he noted.

Akhtar praised Shadab for keeping the team united and preventing issues from arising. He also stood up for Azam Khan, the wicketkeeper-batter who has been under scrutiny lately. Akhtar referred to Azam as a “very good cricketer” and proposed that he document his weight loss journey to highlight his impressive power-hitting abilities.

At the same time, all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed expressed his backing for Mohammad Rizwan to continue as Pakistan’s ODI captain. He labeled Rizwan as the best choice available, regardless of the criticism he faces. “Rizwan’s qualifications are evident,” Iftikhar remarked.

He emphasized that decisions should prioritize performance over personal relationships. Despite recent significant losses, Iftikhar is confident that Rizwan can enhance his captaincy skills..
