We thought Shovel Knight Dig , the roguelite prequel to Yacht Club Games’ outstanding retro-style platformer, may never get a PS5 port – but it’s happening on 15th May. Due out alongside an all-new Wicked Wishes update – and all the previously released content as well – this sounds like a seriously meaty version of the 2022 title. Wicked Wishes specifically, which is being described as the game’s final update, will include new bosses, quests, secrets, and gameplay improvements.
“Meet new friends and foes, visit strange lands, and outfit yourself in your quest to keep the entire land from collapsing underfoot,” the game’s overview explains. “Jump, slash, and dig your way down an ever-changing chasm of mystery in Shovel Knight Dig, an all-new Shovel Knight adventure.” If you’re not familiar with this game and still not entirely sure what to expect, we’ve embedded some gameplay footage below, which amusingly was uploaded to the official PlayStation channel over five years ago: Have you been waiting patiently to play Shovel Knight Dig on your PS5, or have you already enjoyed it on other platforms?
