KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian and entrepreneur Shuib's business debt worth tens of thousands of ringgit is now decreasing thanks to advice from and negotiations with the government.

KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian and entrepreneur Shuib's business debt worth tens of thousands of ringgit is now decreasing thanks to advice from and negotiations with the government.Shuib or Shahmira Muhamad, 40, said in a news report today that he was negotiating with government agencies and banks to settle his debts for good."The debt has been decreasing.

When you start your business with millions of ringgit in capital, the debt incurred also amounts to millions of ringgit."I have discussed this with government agencies and sought advice from banks. Thank God things are improving," he said.



The father of four previously faced outstanding loans involving the Royal Malaysian Customs Department and the Social Security Organisation (Socso)."I believe that God blesses all of us with good fortune, it's just that I made quite a lot of mistakes and need to correct them, and right now I have become a more focused and consistent businessman," said Shuib.Shuib has just opened a new cafe selling his Nasi Bakar Bangkit recipes comprising various dishes made from rice baked in banana leaves.
