KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nina Iskandar has put an end to swirling speculation, confirming that she divorced her ex-husband, Azlan Adzanan, last year with a single 'talak'.Nina, 34, whose full name is Nur Akmalina Iskandar, clarified that the separation was not due to any third-party involvement but rather a "lack of understanding" between the couple."Yes, I am now a divorcee.
Why should I continue to keep it a secret?"Previously, the divorce proceedings were still ongoing, so I didn't feel it was appropriate to share this with fans and the media," she revealed when met in the capital today.Nina also disclosed that she and Azlan had been living separately since mid-2022.Explaining her reasons for keeping the matter private, the Brunei-born actress said, "I'm not one to sensationalise personal affairs.
My priority was to protect the dignity of both parties and respect the sensitivities of our families.""In the past, when asked by members of the media, I couldn't reveal the truth because the divorce had not been officially finalised," she added.Nina expressed her gratitude that their son, Aaryan Ar-Rizqin, has been able to comprehend the situation.
