Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido , has opened up about his relationship with convicted internet fraudster Ramon Abbas, better known as Hushpuppi , revealing that while they were friends, he had no knowledge of his source of wealth. In a recent interview, the DMW boss acknowledged their friendship and shared his thoughts on Hushpuppi’s extravagant lifestyle before his arrest. The socialite was sentenced to over 11 years in prison in the United States for his involvement in a multi-million-dollar international fraud syndicate.

Reflecting on their past interactions, Davido stated, “My prayers go out to him, he’s my friend. I just used to see him around — I never really knew what he was doing. But he lived a good life.



” The singer also commented on how some individuals prioritize enjoying life in the moment, even if it means facing serious consequences later. “Some people are okay with enjoying life for a few years, then whatever happens after is fine with them,” he added. Davido and Hushpuppi were frequently seen together at events and social gatherings prior to the latter’s arrest in 2020, fueling public speculation about their connection.
