The movie’s success is attributed to near-perfect reviews and stellar audience scores. Sinners also made a strong impact internationally as it earned $15.4 million from select overseas markets which brought its global total to $61 million.
While Sinners has taken the top spot over A Minecraft Movie, it is a double win for Warner Bros. as both films are from the studio. Warner Bros.

In its third weekend, the video game adaptation earned $41.3 million from 4,032 locations. It pushed its domestic total past $340 million.
The film was initially expected to remain at number one with $45 million but it ultimately took second place to Sinners. In terms of international performance, it earned an additional $59 million overseas that brought its global total to $720.8 million.
Minecraft is now the first movie of 2025 with a shot at crossing the $1 billion mark in worldwide ticket sales. Sinners marks a significant achievement as an original, R-rated genre film. With a $45.
