Sir Richard Branson has recalled saving Keith Richards' life.

Sir Richard Branson says he once had to think fast to save Keith Richards from a man armed with a gun. The Virgin Group founder shared the shocking story during an interview on Virgin Radio UK. ’” Branson claimed he then looked out and caught the sight of a naked Richards and a naked woman dashing across the lawn. “I said, ‘Put the gun down and you can search the house,’” Branson recalled. “He searched the house, he [said sorry], he left.

” Branson added with a laugh: “About an hour later, a naked Keith Richards came back without the wife.” The pair has known each other for decades. Branson, who launched Virgin Records in 1970, famously signed the Rolling Stones in 1992.

That partnership kicked off with a party so wild, he says no one even remembers it. “That night, I’m told, we had a party that none of us can remember,” Branson joked during his Hollywood Walk of Fame speech in 2018. “Running a record company can be a lot of fun, and yes, it did involve sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.
