Prayagraj: As the authorities of UP Secondary Education announced the results of class 10 and 12 on Friday, not only did students from smaller towns of the state top the merit list in classes 12 and 10, but in terms of overall pass percentage too, districts like Amroha, Sultanpur, Etawah, Kasganj, Moradabad and Sitapur performed impressively. Although a girl from Prayagraj bagged first place in class 12, the district is at 37th rank among the 75 districts of the state. In terms of overall pass percentage of class 10, the district bagged the 7th rank.
In terms of results for class 12, Amethi is at the top position with an overall pass percentage of 92.65%, followed by Amroha with an overall pass percentage of 90.55%.
Varanasi is in third place in the state with an overall pass percentage of 89.63%. Basti, with 89.
29%, is in fourth place and Fatehpur is in fifth place with 89.02%. In terms of class 10 overall pass percentage among the 75 districts of the state, Agra tops the list with 94.
99%, followed by Basti in second place with 94.67%. Mathura is at number three with 94.
60% followed by Kanpur Nagar with 94.35% at number four. Bhadohi is in fifth place with 94.
13%. Prayagraj is in seventh place with an impressive 93.99% overall pass percentage.
Lucknow is in the 16th position with an overall percentage of 92.78%. Deputy Secretary (Admin) of UP Board, Devbrat Singh has informed that the headquarters of the Board and all the regional offices will be closed for all official work on April 28-30.
