SNAPSHOT: Area teens — aspiring law enforcers — ready to show off their CSI skills at the state level

Dezirae Austin, Asia McFarline and Gwen Deichman all have a common goal in life — careers in law enforcement — and they tested their skills in the noble profession during a recent competition. The high school trio joined more than 50 high school students from Capital Region BOCES who competed in the New York State SkillsUSA statewide competition at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, held from April 23-25. Winners from this event advanced to the national SkillsUSA competition in Atlanta in June.
