Ready-to-go run stopper. High motor. Flashes of pass-rushing ability, just not fully there yet in that regard.
Miami had to get nastier on defense. Some development is needed before he's 3-down type.Grade: B— Chris Trapasso 🏈 (@ChrisTrapasso) April 25, 2025From PFN's @IC_DraftDolphins- Kenneth Grant, DT, MichiganGrade: CPro Football Network NFL Draft Analyst Ian Cummings: With the 13th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins addressed the trenches – but perhaps not on the side of the ball fans would’ve preferred.

Demanding double teams frees up the 2nd level to actually be able get down hill in the run game & gives our horsemen the opportunity for 1 on 1’s in the pass game. Dont be ignorant. This is a HOMERUN pick— JoeRobbie (@JoeRobbie_) April 25, 2025Kenneth Grant is 331 Lbs of PURE POWER.
He stops the run, pushes the pocket and gets his hands on the ball with the most pass breakups by a defensive lineman in Michigan history. It’s not the sexy pick, but in December-February he will help the Dolphins TREMENDOUSLY.#NFLDraftpic.

twitter.com/4RemRkkbml— FinsXtra (@FinsXtra) April 25, 2025Grant fills a massive hole for the Dolphins that was left by the departures of Calais Campbell and Da'Shawn Hand. While the team retained starters Zach Sieler and Benito Jones, the only other defensive linemen on the Miami roster heading into the draft were Matt Dickerson and Neil Farrell, two players who spent a significant amount of the 2024 season on the Dolphins' practice squad.
The Dolphins are next scheduled to select in Round 2 with the No. 48 overall selection. There could be offensive linemen and defensive backs available, although the Dolphins could have the capital to climb higher up the order and secure a player that catches their eye.
