South Bucks Hospice helped save my life' High Wycombe man

A man has credited a hospice with saving his life after a terminal cancer diagnosis - www.bucksfreepress.co.uk

Geoff, 76, from High Wycombe, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2020. The cancer had already spread to his bones, making the diagnosis terminal. Existing health conditions meant that Geoff could not have all the treatments available.

He said he was feeling low and did not want to carry on and burden his wife Dorothy. However, he said he regained the will to survive through the expertise, kindness, and care received at the South Bucks Hospice. Geoff said: "I want as many people as possible to know about South Bucks Hospice, and to support this very important organisation.



"It helped save my life." He said that when he was referred to South Bucks Hospice, it was a "complete breath of fresh air." He said: "Someone even helped me get myself referred before I met the nurses.
