St Helens Town promoted - now they set sights on first title since 1972

Goals from Liam Diggle (2), Marc Gibson, Ethan Wetton, Luke Diggle, Charlie Simpson, and Pacey Garrett guaranteed Town will go up. Town are still unbeaten in Cheshire league play and are now chasing the title. The quest for a first league championship since 1972 continues this Saturday at PSD Vehicle Rentals Stadium, Ruskin as part of a festival of football.

Activities begin from 12.15pm and Town kick off at 3pm versus Wigan Town. Entry is free.
