The Steelers have once again dipped their toe into the ex-Rams receiver pool.

A former Los Angeles Rams receiver is once again heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers.Robert Woods, who last played for the Rams when they won the Super Bowl in 2021, reportedly signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the Steelers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.Woods, 33, spent the past two seasons with the Houston Texans after one year with the Tennessee Titans prior to his five years with the Rams.

He caught 367 receptions for 4,626 yards and 26 touchdowns in 68 games for L.A. His time with the Rams ended abruptly, though, after Woods tore his ACL in 2021, months before the team won Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Age and injuries caught up to him over the past few years, though, as he's only caught 113 receptions for 1,156 yards and three touchdowns in 46 games since 2022.Woods formed one of the best receiver duos in the NFL alongside Cooper Kupp during their time together in L.A.

Now, the Rams have a new twosome in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. The Woods deal is funny because, as Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette pointed out, Woods is the fourth former Rams wideout to join the Steelers over the past several years. Pittsburgh has also signed Allen Robinson (2023), Van Jefferson (2024) and Ben Skowronek (2024).

He now joins a younger receiver corps in Pittsburgh with D.K. Metcalf and George Pickens.

The quarterback remains a mystery, though, as the Steelers appear to be interested in Aaron Rodgers or would have to start Mason Rudolph of 2025 sixth-rounder Will Howard. This article originally appeared on Rams Wire: Steelers sign ex-Rams WR who won Super Bowl with L.A.
