The Golden State Warriors took a 3-1 series lead into Game 5 on Wednesday and had an opportunity to knock the Houston Rockets out of the NBA playoffs.Instead, they fell behind by a huge margin in the first half and never caught up. By losing 131-116, they will have to return to San Francisco for a Game 6 on Friday.
The Warriors now have an added problem. Stephen Curry appears to have a right thumb injury, and there was a photo that emerged where it appeared to be swollen when he was walking to the team plane. Curry commented on the ailment after Game 5.

He shot 12-of-19 from the field and scored 31 points in a 95-85 Game 1 win, but he shot 6-of-15 in the next game when Golden State lost by 15 points.He then poured in 36 points in Game 3 as Golden State prevailed without Jimmy Butler, who was out due to a pelvic contusion.

Butler went 2-of-10 from the field, and other than reserve guard Moses Moody and little-used Pat Spencer, no one played well offensively for them.Meanwhile, Houston shot 55.1% from the field and had three players score at least 24 points.
