Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.25%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday. Shares of Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 4.

64 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 4.4 per cent), Sobha Ltd.



(up 3.94 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.

7 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 2.25 per cent up at 864.1.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 273.9 points at 24125.55, while the BSE Sensex stood up 855.

3 points at 79408.5. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 ended in the green, while 11 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, IDFC First Bank and Ola Electric Mobilit were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Shree Vasu Logistics, Jash Engineering, Aavas Financiers, BSE and Reliance Naval & Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Eros Media, Kesoram Inds., Gensol Engg, Varanium Cloud and Sai Silks(Kalamandir)hit their fresh 52-week lows.
