NEW YORK — Ranger Suarez had his rehab assignment transferred from Single A Clearwater to Triple A Lehigh Valley and made his third tune-up start on Tuesday night for the IronPigs. He could be back with the Phillies by next weekend's home series against the Diamondbacks. Suarez threw 59 pitches (40 strikes) over five scoreless innings Tuesday and will make one more rehab start on Sunday with Lehigh Valley.

He faced 20 batters and threw 16 first-pitch strikes. The Phillies want to extend Suarez to 85-90 pitches in that one before returning him to the major-league rotation. The idea was to have him throw approximately 75 pitches over five innings Tuesday but he was.
