The clip is somewhat blurry, but one can glean that this rendition of the character will likely be comic-accurate. In particular, the fighting style that Momoa’s version uses in the clip appears to be straight out of comic books. From the motions that Momoa makes, it seems that his character is using his iconic chains in this scene.

However, it’s unclear exactly who the Czarnian is supposed to be fighting here. It’s possible that this person is a bounty hunter/mercenary just like him.Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is helmed by Craig Gillespie, whose previous credits include Lars and the Real Girl (2007), I, Tonya (2017), and Cruella (2021).

Ana Nogueira penned the screenplay. She is also part of the writing team behind the upcoming DCU Teen Titans live-action project. The movie is an adaptation of the namesake comic book miniseries.

Its official logline reads, “While Superman was sent to Earth and raised by incredibly loving parents, Kara was left on Krypton. For the first fourteen years of her life, Kara lived alone on a piece of Krypton that drifted away from the planet.”Besides Momoa, the cast comprises Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye, and more.
