Suzuki has launched the 2025 edition of the Hayabusa, which comes equipped with updated features like an enhanced launch control system and a cruise control system. Since Suzuki Motorcycle India started selling the Hayabusa, first as an import and then assembled locally in Gurugram, the bike has become a favourite among performance motorcycle fans. According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), total sales of the Hayabusa have reached 2,400 units so far.
In the financial year 2025 (FY2025), Suzuki sold 511 Hayabusas, which is 213 more than the previous year. This means a 71 percent increase in sales compared to FY2024. The strong numbers have helped the Hayabusa maintain its lead in the 1,000cc to 1,600cc segment, grabbing a 57 percent market share, up from 47 percent in FY2024, as per Autocar.
The bike is priced at Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is now available at selected Suzuki big bike dealerships across India. While Suzuki sits comfortably at the top, Triumph’s Bonneville T120, Bobber, and Speedmaster followed in second place with 208 units sold – a 28 percent rise, giving them a 23 percent market share.
Harley-Davidson’s Sportster S and Pan America 1250 Special came next with 119 units, showing an 11 percent YoY growth. Meanwhile, Kawasaki’s 998cc Ninja models saw a slight dip, selling 61 units, three fewer than FY2024. Suzuki recently rolled out the 2025 edition of the Hayabusa.
The 2025 edition of the Hayabusa brings in tech updates to enhance performance and comfort: Launch Control System – Helps manage wheelspin during aggressive take-offs. Cruise Control – Riders can now shift gears without turning it off. The bike continues with its powerful 1,340cc inline 4-cylinder engine, producing 187 bhp and 150 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter for smooth shifts.
