A man had items stolen from his tattoo shop twice in the space of 24 hours. Jonatan Wagner, 20, owns Beanweiler Tattoo in West Street, Bognor. On the evening of April 11, he reported that everything was stolen from his tattoo shop by a mystery man, leaving him with nothing.
Mr Wagner, from Bognor, said: “He cleared out everything. He left me with shelves and walls. “He took machines, printers.
“He even took consent forms. Whatever he saw he took. An empty till (Image: Supplied) “When I got the police phone call at 4.
30am I thought someone was calling me as a prank. “I instantly got up and went to the studio. “The majority of what I earn goes back into the business and equipment.
“When I entered the studio I fell to my knees and I started crying like a baby. “I built this stuff up over five months. “I’m 20-years-old and I’ve got my own shop.
” Damage to the door (Image: Supplied) Unfortunately, Mr Wagner’s misfortune continued, with a hoover reportedly being stolen from the studio at what he believes to be around 7am based on CCTV footage. “Some guy came in, he said hello”, Mr Wagner said. “He walked in, walked out then walked back in again, grabbed the hoover and walked out.
“We didn’t find out about it until 11am.” Mr Wagner said he has been blown away by the support he has received from the community, having had he estimates over 160 messages. The cupboards were mostly emptied (Image: Supplied) He said: “I am so happy with what the community is like here.
“Another local studio is offering me equipment. “The hoover was my mother’s; a lady called saying she would replace it. “An alarm company offered to set up alarms at a discounted rate.
READ MORE: Taxi driver charged with rape “There are people who need the support and money more than me.” A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police received a report of a burglary at a premises in West Street, Bognor, overnight from April 11 into 12 April. “Officers attended and a 42-year-old man was arrested nearby shortly afterwards.
A man appearing to steal items from the studio (Image: Supplied) “We can confirm that Tristram Francis, 42, of Felpham Road, Bognor, was charged with burglary other than a dwelling. “He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on April 14 where he admitted the charge. “He was sentenced to a four-month suspended prison sentence and was ordered to pay £500 in compensation.
” Mr Wagner expressed “disappointment” in the justice system. “I feel like the system is so broken for him to only get four months”, he added. “I still have missing stuff.
” In relation to the second incident, the spokesman said: “We received a report of a burglary at a premises in West Street, Bognor, overnight from April 11 into April 12. “Officers attended and a 42-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling. “He has been bailed, pending further enquiries.
“Witnesses who saw anything suspicious, or anyone in the area with information such as CCTV or doorbell footage can report it to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 83 of 16/04.”.
