Students will gain hands-on experience at top-tier facilities within Taylor’s Lakeside Campus like the Taylor’s Virtual Online Future Technology & Extended Reality (VORTEX XR Lab) and 3D Modelling Studio — spaces built specially for students to experiment and create. From integrating real-world objects into virtual environments via XR applications and devices, to creating 3D VR and XR environments on a 1:1 scale, students will get to explore new ideas and sharpen their creative skills using the latest tech. From sketching in a VR environment to designing fashion looks with digital styling tools, the session showcased how Taylor’s College is immersing students with the latest technology and real-world industry practices.
One of the biggest highlights of the DIDD program is its 20-week Work-Based Learning (WBL) module Taylor’s College is one of the few institutions in Malaysia to offer WBL for the DIDD program — and they’ve taken it a step further by extending it beyond the typical 12-week internship duration. Taking place in the final semester, students will work directly with industry partners like CraveFX, FusionWorks, iTrainKids, Geek Fam, Cause Effect Consultants, and Virtualtech Frontier on actual projects. Taylor’s College diploma graduates boast a 100% employability rate from 2021 to 2023 With its focus on practical learning and real-world industry exposure, it’s no wonder Taylor’s College diploma graduates are highly sought-after by employers. “Our forward-thinking curriculum and hands-on learning approach are designed to produce graduates who are not just industry-ready, but also capable of contributing meaningfully to Malaysia’s growth as a global digital hub,” explained Taylor’s College Campus Director, Josephine Tan.
She added that beyond investing in cutting-edge facilities, the DIDD program itself is built with the industry in mind. For students planning to continue their studies, the DIDD program gives graduates a fast track to Year 2 of the Bachelor of Interactive Spatial Design (Honours), or to specialise by heading to the Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Creative Media at Taylor’s University. They can also progress to other related Bachelor’s Degrees, depending on their interests. Applications for the DIDD program are open, so don’t miss out!
