The Falcons trade for James Pearce Jr. is one of the worst moves of first round

The Rams get a 2nd round pick next year's 1st round pick and a 7th. So somebody explained to me how in the hell the Giants moved up without giving up a future first round. I, I understand they were only dropping at the beginning of the second round, but the Falcons are making a more aggressive move, but they gave up a, a, and, and to do that they get James Pierce Junior the edge rusher.

Uh, so again, James Pierce Junior and Ed Rusher that I'm, I, I think is very good. I, I really like this pick. I'll say that.

But they gave up next year's first round pick also to move up and get this. Falcons. Falcons gave up.

The Falcons gave up the Falcons gave up the 46th pick, the 2nd pick this year. They gave up next year's 1st and a 7th next year. And for that they get Pierce in a 3rd round this year.

Terry, I know Terry, I know Terry, you said why is there a difference? is that? What are you talking about, dude? You give a first round pick next year? Well, no, no, no, there's on the left, Nate Nate, it's OK because they're not gonna be picking high enough. They're not gonna be picking high, so don't worry about it last year they're not gonna be picking high enough. So I mean to give them a first round pick, that's ridiculous.

That's stupid. Uh, but it's rich. This is what the Falcons do.

So you gave up a first round pick for a player who you hope can come in and be like a game changing franchise or or game changing like franchise setting edge rusher for you, whatever. I don't think that that's a guy you're probably gonna find at 26, um, I think that there's some concerns about James Pierce's game that would even make you hesitant for wanting to trade up this much, uh. This is crazy to me giving up a first round pick for James Pierce makes absolutely no sense, but you know.

This is what the Falcons and also like the the eagerness. There's only should have been eagerness to move up in the 20s from the second round for a QB. This, this, the tiers of players in this class, it's a bell curve.

It's very much it flattens, I should say, especially around this part. Like there shouldn't be an eagerness to get rid of a future pick, a first rounder that no matter what is gonna be more valuable than what you give up this year, it, it, I don't know, it's just not the class to be jumping back in to get an edge rusher with questions and also that's the thing I, I don't know how they're gonna use. Walker, if you have Walker and Pierce both as your edge players, teams are gonna run for two bills yeah it's a great weekend and week out.

So this is what they did with you, hey, we got 2 220 pound edge rushers and we're just getting pass rushers have to be complimentary. This is why I got so I was so excited about the Mike Williams to the 49ers. You need a pocket pusher.

You need a bender. You need a bendy guy. They are just smitten with speed, speed, speed, and that's what Pierce has speed, speed, speed.

But OK, but now you're playing who else is in that division? OK, the Panthers with their offensive line. Saints got a lot of former first round picks on their line, including one tonight. Bucks, yeah, mowing down everybody.

That's just your division. Now I think of other top teams in the NFC who the Falcons think they are a part. Of and they're not and they're gonna have to revamp the offense a lot.

It's just, uh, uh, they just create their offense better score a lot of points. Yeah, like that, that won't probably and it probably won't, but I mean that offense better score a lot of points. Mcary is the blind protector because you've got, you've gotta have like a lead with these type of guys and I mean it's, it's nice that we've been saying like, hey, they haven't had a pass rush since like John Abraham and it's like, whoa, now we've got two of them.

But again I think it's a better, yeah, they're, they're, they're over correct..
