The First Descendant developer has revealed a "first time" reward for the Season 3 battle pass while also confirming incoming buffs.

The First Descendant Season 3 is set to come out in June with an official unveiling set for PAX EAST in May. While we don’t know much about the upcoming chapter yet, the developer has teased more TFD swimsuits including a “bikini skin” for a new fan-favorite character. Now The First Descendant developer has confirmed a “first time” reward for the Season 3 battle pass along with buffs for characters.

Nexon confirms The First Descendant Season 3 buffs and “first time” battle pass rewardApril 30th marks the final day of Nexon’s AMA with The First Descendant fans on Discord. There has been a lot of insightful responses from the developer, including a preview of a major feature arriving soon in May, along with plans to make a newly established character playable in the future with a story already prepared. While there is a lot to anticipate before and beyond Season 3, the numerical third chapter is poised to be Nexon’s biggest yet.

As per usual, there will be an entirely new character and Ultimate, and both will be revealed on May 11th during Nexon’s PAX EAST livestream.Although not willing to pull the curtain fully aside just yet, TFD_Director_Jooms has provided a couple of interesting details. Asked if Nexon will add “premium/universal descendant skins in the battle pass” due to the lack of outfits, Jooms revealed that “For the first time, Season 3’s Battle Pass will include a new common skin as a reward, designed to match the theme of the season”.

This comes in response to Nexon listening closely to the feedback from fans regarding the value of each battle pass, and, for Season 3, they are “working to provide a better experience and rewards”.Image credit: The First Descendant DiscordAnother interesting revelation from the director regards balancing. Since their debuts, there has been a lot of complaints within the community about Ines Raya and Serena both being severely overpowered, especially compared to other TFD characters.

To fix this issue, Jooms has revealed that, in Season 3, other Descendants will receive buffs rather than Ines and Serena receiving nerfs. To accommodate for this, Season 3 will also “feature more challenging and engaging content through Axion that reflects this new standard”.Image credit: The First Descendant DiscordFor more The First Descendant, we have a guide to the best skills and loadout for Viessa, along with the best skills, gear, and mods for the hugely popular Bunny.
